The global food crisis we face today is a serious issue that needs our attention. Every six seconds a child dies because of hunger or malnutrition. That is why we started For a better lunch movement.

When children receive the proper food and nutrition through school meals they are given an opportunity to lead a healthy active life and break the cycle of hunger and poverty. Every consumer that purchases a Fablunch container gives children around the world hope for a better lunch and a better tomorrow.

With each lunch container purchased, 10 school lunches are provided to children in need through WFP's School Feeding program. United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) is the world's largest humanitarian agency fighting hunger. WFP serves nutrient-packed lunches to children in 63 countries across Asia, the Middle East, Africa, Latin America, Central America and the Caribbean.

 

A nourishing meal can have an incredible impact on a child's life. It gives an incentive to attend school and provides a child with energy to learn and develop into a healthy adult. For many children, a school lunch is the only regular meal they receive all day. Not only does serving school meals provides sufficient nutrition to children in need, but it also creates jobs for local farmers and communities as a whole.
